@mahotank @allie__voss We do, as best we can as fallible humans. We also read our Scripture in context with other verses, cultural subtext, knowledge of historical events, input from scholars over thousands of years, and guidance of the Holy Spirit. But yeah, keep taking verses out of context.

@Avonleebythesea I hear you, severe autism is bleak. I just don’t think cure is the right word. I don’t think autism or ADHD can be cured. I do think we need better treatment, support and tools for severe autism though.

People who say this about autism have exclusively dealt with the high functioning autist, who perhaps has a revulsion to wearing socks. When I was first teaching in public school I had a 4th grade autistic student who regularly wet himself, could not speak beyond moans, often hit and bit out of frustration, could not read or write. If you don’t think parents and children deserve a cure for this, you are either a very evil or very deluded person.

@thechosenberg Honestly, I’m torn. Violence is a hard no for me. But if I had no income outside my husband, I was responsible for 100% of the household and my husband put us into huge amounts of debt threatening our house, food etc and didn’t tell me, I’d consider it.

Also I had measles as a kid and it’s miserable, I don’t know why you’d want to put people through it for the infinitesimal risk of vaccine injury.

Exactly...men and women need each other. Each bring something unique to the table and the world is a better place because both exist. I wouldn't be here if there were no women (by the way...what is a woman?). The difference is, if all women disappeared tomorrow the human race would die off in about 70-80 years. If all men disappeared tomorrow, the human race would die off in 2 to 3 years.

Here’s my dating advice: The men that attract the most women make women feel safe. Not just physically… I mean emotionally. Pete Davidson pulls because he seems like the type of guy you could be 100% yourself in front of and he would just laugh and enjoy it. There’s no fear of judgment. Same reason why many women like the dad bod. It communicates that you could eat a burger in front of that man and he won’t judge you for it. Women assess for safety and if you can make women feel safe, you can attract them.
