@emily_lenning @QueerCrimASC To bring in the queer aspects you could also have half of them defend a stereotypically “queer” client and the other half a stereotypically straight/cis client and then discuss the ways their defenses were different to test/have them think about their own potential implicit bias.

@emily_lenning @QueerCrimASC It wasn’t in the context of queer criminology, but I did a mock court case with my students for our courts and sentencing unit, and they seemed to like it! I had around 30 students per section.

A lot of ups and downs this year, but one of the most exciting and rewarding accomplishments was my first ever co-authored academic work, in #TheoreticalCriminology! So incredibly proud of this manuscript. Here's to more in 2022! journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.11…
