We’re thinking about changing things so that when you move a note to a different notebook, it doesn’t update the note’s “last updated” date anymore.

Every day I see a new post about problems with it.
- It’s new and has bugs
- It lacks many features from CoreData
- It doesn’t work with app architecture
- It doesn’t work with Swift Concurrency
It works for a simple app but it’s a means to an end. Almost all of the code is unique to SwiftData, so you’re spending time learning something that is not transferable.

@evernotehelps My tweet is a feature request to hold the alt key when you press enter so that instead of searching in the current notebook it searches everywhere. Searching everywhere is the more common use case, therefore make it easier please.

It’s finally time… after years of waiting and hoping, I finally bought a laptop to replace my 2015 5k iMac. And, of course, Apple still hasn’t released a new display that makes sense to buy alongside it. I imagine others are facing this same dilemma, what are you/they getting?

In software “simple” & “complex” are illusory. All complexities are composed of many simplicities. Perhaps a better concept is “the right level of abstraction for the task”. Cars are insanely complex. Pushing a pedal is an abstraction that makes gradual acceleration look “simple”
