“Less than 30% chance to live...even less likely to make it to age 2”. You’re a sweet little miracle Riley Johnson! Today was your first day of Preschool. God is good. #SmallVictories #AlwaysBelieve

Lou Holtz has died at the age of 89, his family announced Wednesday. The legendary football coach and ESPN analyst led six college programs and won the 1988 national title at Notre Dame.

@coleadamss Real ones remember the 2008 SEC tournament when Georgia had to play (and win) 2 games in 1 day!

If the Weightroom looks like every athlete is busy doing something… There’s likely not much happening. Busy isn’t productive. Busy competes with productive training. Productive training looks a lot like a big hangout. Hit a maximal output, rest, chat with teammates, repeat.

@bjruis904 @coachkou @rhettlashlee Agreed. But that's what i'm saying here- we want to present play calling as this simple endeavor but simplicity is an illusion. It really is a deep combo of geometry, physics, and art.

@andyjohnson50 @coachkou @rhettlashlee If it’s 3rd & 9 rpo prob isn’t the call here, you better have call ready to reach sticks (pass/screen). 4th & 5 you better be in 4 down territory & get ready for pressure & have rubs/switches concept called.

I’m so glad you asked! Touched on this a bit in our SB recap show. I think protections are where NFL offenses are lagging behind, not just because of OL ability but because of their rules. Defenses are WAY more intelligent in understanding and breaking protection rules now.
Zach@elbow_a

@Nate_Tice Would you say these playoff offenses with mediocre/bad OL are more inept, or are defenses just much better at taking advantage of protection rules?

The hardest part of your job isn’t the long hours. It’s all the junk information out there on social media. If you open your phone right now, you’ll see 50 different “gurus” telling you 50 different ways to train speed. And if you’re a high school coach trying to run the weight room alone... how do you filter that? You don’t. You guess. And for a coach who loves his players, guessing is a terrible feeling. You don’t need more drills. You don’t need a new PDF. You need a filter. You need a mentor. I want to be the guy in your corner this offseason. The one you ask when a player has a tweaked hamstring or you have a short week and don’t know how to adjust the volume. So I’m making this a no-brainer. 🤝 I’m inviting you to join Gridiron Warrior Insiders for $1. Test drive the programming. Ask me your toughest questions in the Q&A. Audit the system. If I don’t earn your trust in 30 days, cancel it. It cost you less than an energy drink. But you shouldn’t have to navigate this field alone anymore. 👇 HOW TO JOIN: Comment the word “INSIDER” below and I’ll DM you the link to start your $1 trial. Let’s get to work.

This clip is going viral again. I think most people miss the point of the argument coaches have every year. There’s ALOT of ways to be successful. Tosh just did an interview saying the complete opposite about time on task. He’s worked at a couple of successful programs. Why is that clip not viral? Because that would make people uncomfortable. The ultimate lesson is that there are a range of ways to be successful, find your own and surround yourself with peers who share it. (I share Tosh’s philosophy)
gmannVOLS@gmannVOLS

Curt Cignetti has a fascinating philosophy...don't waste anyone's time, coaches not expected to work nights just get work done, limited practice to keep players healthy
