Spent the day bringing up an old vacuum system with @szeloof and I think he got progressively more annoyed each time I pronounced "degas" like a French artist

I bought a box of random gemstones. With help from @szeloof, an electron microscope, and an x-ray spectrometer, we're figuring out what each one is. Strong presence of aluminum and oxygen on this blue stone indicates that it's likely Sapphire.
