The House GOP are choosing to keep DHS shut down. They rejected a bipartisan deal for a bill they KNOW is DOA—all so ICE keep operating like a paramilitary force. The House Speaker is an embarrassment. Stuck inside of DC with the Memphis blues again, but I'll be here to fight as long as it takes.

And just like that, while Americans were asleep, Senate Republicans were wide awake tossing the radical Democrats a political lifeline to end the government shutdown without funding ICE and our brave Border Patrol. Now they’re off to take their recess — getting off the hook from having to vote on the SAVE America Act and fully funding ICE. I’m glad TSA agents will finally get their paycheck. They should NEVER be used as political pawns again. But let me be clear: this shutdown was squarely on the Democrats. They put illegal aliens before Americans, and some Senate Republicans just ran cover for them.

Protect our elections. Secure our homeland.
We should do both, not just because Americans overwhelmingly support it, but because it's the right thing to do. Full stop.

The difference between Republicans and Democrats in Congress is that Republicans don’t use their power when we have it, while Democrats will literally do anything to gain and retain power forever.
Right now, our GOP-controlled Senate and House could be putting MAGA bills — starting with the SAVE America Act — on the floor every single day, forcing the Democrats to show how out of touch they are with Americans.
We have the power to do that right now, so why aren't we?
If the tables turn, not only will the Democrats force Republicans to vote on their radical agendas, they will use their majority to make sure they keep their power forever.
The hour is late, it’s time to play hardball.

The Democrats have controlled every level of Memphis city government—from the mayor's office to city council—for over 30 years. They've had every opportunity and resource to protect their citizens. And they FAILED.
Thankfully, President Trump said enough is enough and sent in the Memphis Safe Task Force to do what the Democrats refused to do: LOCK UP CRIMINALS.

Is the SAVE America Act a priority for our Senators or not?
The House GOP has passed the SAVE Act THREE times — July 2024 (bipartisan support), April 2025 (220–208), and again last month (218–213).
Each time, we’ve sent this critical bill to the GOP-controlled Senate, and we’re still waiting for a vote.
