Our base should not have to beg @SenMcConnell and @LeaderJohnThune to pass something as critical as securing and safeguarding our elections. Period.  I can't think of anything more arrogant than ignoring the will of the people, especially when they're the ones who gave us majorities in the House and Senate. This inaction will not only cost us in the midterms but will also cost our republic.

The Democrats are planning to shut down DHS again this October, right before the November midterms — in a calculated effort to hurt Republicans politically. These people are shameless – and there's NOTHING they won't do or there's NO ONE they won't use – including TSA workers – to gain power. That is the opposition we're facing. It's past time for Republicans to start governing like a majority, or we’ll lose it in a couple months.

No one in the media will report on this, but did you know unemployment is at its LOWEST level in more than 50 years, going back to when I was four years old? That’s a real-time signal that, under President Trump, the job market is strong and getting stronger. Never forget: under Joe Biden, unemployment jumped to a four‑year high and sent millions of workers to the unemployment line.

CORRECTION: Democrats got absolutely NOTHING from this shutdown, except forcing over 1,000 TSA workers out of their jobs by cutting off their paychecks. Republicans said from day one: we won't cave to Democrats who want to put criminals back on the streets. And we didn't.
