In 2023, most companies had already implemented their CI, but sadly CD still sucks. If you think your company is doing CD, ask your tech team which CD (Continuous Deployment and Continuous Delivery) they have in place. 99% of the time, the answer will be Continuous Delivery.
🔴Continuous Delivery (CD): The software is automatically built, tested, and prepared for deployment to a production-like environment. The deployment step requires manual approval or further testing before releasing the software.
🟢 Continuous Deployment (CD): The software is automatically built, tested, and deployed to production without manual intervention once it passes all the necessary tests.
