It still feels unreal that we stole Dani Dennis-Sutton in the 4th round.
A player as athletic as him, with the college production he had (23 sacks) should have been nowhere near R4.

Jordan Love led the league in win percentage added and WPA/dropback.
You will not find a split where he was not excellent.
And he was more than good enough vs Chicago with a lead. The defense gave up 25 in the fourth quarter and his kicker missed 3 kicks.

So this sounds like really basic stuff (and it is), but this was part of the concern with Caleb coming out of college is if he WANTS to play this way.

A few weeks ago, Bears QBs coach J.T. Barrett used the phrase "Do less" as a guide for Caleb Williams to understand the efficiency he is being asked to play with. Ben Johnson elaborated and enlightened today. "We’re asking Caleb to continue to grow within the offense. There are times when the primary receiver is open. We want to deliver him an accurate football within the timing of the play -- and then progress if the protection allows us. "So it’s just taking that up to the next level. It’s also understanding what the premier coverages are for some of our concepts. And if we’re not getting those coverages, how can we accelerate to No. 2 and No. 3 or do I need to make them pay with my legs? So, it’s just another level of understanding."

It’s wishful thinking to assume after a player gets paid, he’s going to play more. Typically it’s the other way around. Especially a guy with his long injury history.

@SuperStinks @StevenCheah The issue is that he’s missed games in every year of his career, so to assume that he’s all of a sudden going to start playing full seasons after he gets paid is delusional.
Similar issue in Chicago with Kyler Gordon. Good when they play, but they don’t play consistently.
