Day 1 of trying to setup OpenClaw on my laptop for once, instead of using Kimi Claw (because the servers are offline again) God this is annoying. Kimi made the setup so much easier lol I had to downgrade node, install a bunch of different CLIs, resubbed to Codex for the coding agent, etc And I still need to setup the GitHub CLI I hope it's worth it lol

For testing i tried to install openclaw on oracle cloud with wireguard to access ui and its almost 15th hour i do everything gpt tells me even though i know it is wrong. Lets see when it can achieve clean install

having a fun Sunday with Jack (my OpenClaw AI agent). i’m starting to lean into the possibilities that come with spinning up an AI agent. i had a frustrating experience at the start (i still do sometimes) but i’m learning to understand its context and treat it like a normal human before assigning tasks. might write about my experience and use that as a medium to document my journey with Jack. things i’ve done so far: - updated it’s SOUL.md - Brave web search integration - doing Groq for voice transcription next - created a longterm memory file MEMORY.md - also since i’m running an EC2, I asked it to run an openclaw update to ensure everything is optimized. if this Jack makes me say “you’re the best decision i made” in 30 days, then i might consider getting a local device for full optimization.
