This might be an unpopular opinion rn, but I think Cook is right. Saw some glimpses off the bench that for me mean that once partnerships are fully formed things will click. Lewis and Tanton instantly made us more dangerous, and the new city kid looks quick and sharp. COYB 💙

No imagination, pace or flair. You’re right about the squad, there’s good players there but they are miles of it.

@Spireiteswrite We have 10 new players in the building, plus Dunks etc who didn’t play much last year either. There is always going to be an adjusting period.

@Spireiteswrite We’re 7 games in, two points off top. Look at the league table - no one is ‘fully firing’ yet. No need to panic. The bigger picture is that we have a fantastic squad, and when it starts to fire more consistently, we’ll comfortably be fighting for top 3. Cook will get it right.

@vosthorneycroft @spirestats Exactly mate. He’s class & when we’re winning everyone’s opinion on him is totally different, like most players! Same of the fans calling for his head were probably calling him the best midfielder we’ve got 6 months ago.

No Chesterfield player has more assists than Oldaker this season. Not bad for someone who only ever passes sideways and Backwards ay 🤷‍♂️

@spirestats People will only realise once he’s gone how much of an asset he is, and undoubtedly he’ll go on to play at a higher level. He’s one of the best midfielders in the league.

I’m proud of what we’ve achieved. I feel we’ve improved the social media channels over the years. Particularly growing Twitter by over 40,000 followers and hitting 100k. We definitely made mistakes, but we got a lot of things right too 😂
