5hours into Crimson Desert and Idk how I feel. There is no real story, the gameplay is so far a hack and slash with nice graphics. Its like Assassins Creed+The Witcher with the main Character being Jon Snow from GOT. I mean literally the plot is Jon snow.
First, you die, you get revived, you fight in the north, and resemble "Wolves". You get guided by a white crow and end up getting a Black Crow flight ability AND the literal first boss you fight is King Geoffry with a Lannister pin 💀 .

@SRTtoZ @Nokokopuffs “Without any real content” tf does this even mean? I’ve been having a blast on this game exploring, learning new moves and finding artifacts, fought a couple bosses already. What’s the difference between this and literally any other game like Elden Ring and The Witcher.

@Nokokopuffs It seems to be a shell of a game without any real content and the lack of any polish with some of the worst controls I've ever seen in a videogame. It has some really nice highs but it also has a ton of very low, lows.

@NeonKnightYT I think it’s because the negativity comes from people who didn’t want to learn the systems or need their hand to be held. Nobody gave it time since it’s a bigger game, you’re sincere in your reasoning so it’s more trustworthy

Incredible game, but I'm surprised at no new map in over 6 months now.
Feels like it's treading water somewhat.

Since there were a lot of mentions that Crimson Desert looked like what Dragon’s Dogma 2 should’ve been. Crimson Desert currently has a lower Metacritic score (77) than Dragon’s Dogma 2 (86).

@rsltlkki @Davidp32Ds @NotiPlay_ For sure, I’m playing it on PC as I just got a new one but my brother got it on PS5 Pro. I also hope those game breaking glitches I heard of are fixed with the day one patch.

@buckarooAF @Davidp32Ds @NotiPlay_ I saw that video too, and it didn’t look bad especially if you have a 4K or OLED monitor. But the reality is that if you wait a year, it’ll look better and will definitely be much more playable.

@rsltlkki @Davidp32Ds @NotiPlay_ I’d say it’s worth it. I’ve seen the impressions of it on a few videos and it definitely seems worth getting it on PS5 Pro or PC. I’d say it’s probably fine on Base PS5 if you’re okay with the lower resolution. The PS Japan channel has Base gameplay and it didn’t look bad.

@buckarooAF @Davidp32Ds @NotiPlay_ know, but the Series X runs things similarly to the PS5 Pro. The base PS5 is the third most powerful console of this generation, but it seems like too much to spend almost $800 on a PS5. Honestly, as of today, with the new update the Pro got, is it worth buying?

There was a time 2-3 years ago where a game world of this size would’ve gotten me so excited.
Cut to today and I just don’t have the time or interest to play games of this scale anymore. I don’t want 1,000 side quests. I’m 45 trying to balance work, life, and hobbies. I’m good.

Crimson Desert world is so massive and diverse, it took John Linneman from Digital Foundry roughly 4 hours of traversal and exploration to go from the opening village to the desert. He also noted that he hasn't felt this need to explore since RDR2 and Breath of the Wild.

I've looked into a lot of videos of Crimson Desert and I still don't understand the hype around it.
I hope the people who are hyped get what they want from this game
