Extension of Tax Audit - आज तो कम से कम एक्सटेंशन आ जाना चाहिए । अब तो ICAI ने भी representation दे दिया । पिछले दो Sunday तो ITR के कारण ऑफिस खुले थे कम से कम कल तो कुछ आराम मिले । आराम की हम इंसानों को ही नहीं हमारे यहाँ लगी मशीनों को भी जरूरत है । #Extend_Due_Date_Immediately

#extendduedateimmediately TAR Extension - मुझे यह नहीं पता कि TAR एक्सटेंशन के लिए व्यापारिक एसोसिएशन्स को लिखना चाहिए , हमें नहीं । लेकिन कुछ सवाल है जिनके जवाब जरूरी है । ऑडिट समय रहते पूरे क्यों नहीं हो पाते !!! हम आख़िरी तारीख का इंतज़ार क्यों करते हैं !!! ITR समय रहते क्यों नहीं फाइल हुए !!! आइए देखे इन सवालों के जवाब - यदि एक रिटर्न को भरने में 15 मिनिट की जगह एक घंटा लग रहा हो तो फिर समय रहते काम कैसे पूरा होगा ? यदि क्लाइंट , अकाउंटेंट और CA जिस समय ऑडिट करना था उस समय ITR पर काम कर रहे थे तो फिर ऑडिट समय रहते पूरे कैसे होते ? क्या ऑडिट मशीन से होते हैं या उसमें मानव दिमाग की जरूरत नहीं होती है ? एक बड़ा सवाल है कि जब ITR हर साल जुलाई में पूरे हो जाते थे तो फिर ऐसा क्या खास थी इस साल कि इस कार्य को 15 सितंबर तक क्यों खींचा गया ? “ये आदर्श नहीं बल्कि व्यावहारिक सच्चाई है और इस सच्चाई को देखते हुए Tax Audit की तारीख दो माह के लिए बढ़ा देनी चाहिए”। (यह कोई माँग नहीं है , ना ही कोई भीख है (जैसा कई लोग अपनी प्रतिक्रिया में लिखते है क्यों कि उन्हें ज़मीनी सच्चाई पता नहीं होती है ) बल्कि यह एक गंभीर सलाह है । - सुधीर हालाखंडी

Dear All, As leaders of the profession, it is important to have clarity on the following matters: 1.ICAI had written to and also met the Member (Legislation) in the third week of August, highlighting issues in ITR as well as Tax Audit, and requested corrective measures to enable timely compliance. 2.The glitches reported by various members were brought to the notice of the Chairman, Member (Technology), and DG (IT Systems) through email for rectification. 3.These glitches were also personally discussed with the Under Secretary, Ministry of Revenue, and shared with him for appropriate action. During the discussion, the possibility of extension of both due dates (Non-Audit ITR as well as Audit ITR) was also indicated. 4.At present, a specific request for extension of Audit ITR filing, and consequently TAR filing, is under consideration and appropriate action will be taken. KIND ATTENTION TAXPAYERS! The due date for filing of Income Tax Returns (ITRs) for AY 2025-26, originally due on 31st July 2025, was extended to 15th September 2025. The Central Board of Direct Taxes has decided to further extend the due date for filing these ITRs for AY 2025-26 from 15th September, 2025 to 16th September, 2025. To enable changes in the utilities, the e- filing portal will remain in maintenance mode from 12:00 AM to 02:30AM on 16th September 2025. Press Release issued:

For the past Two hour, the Income Tax portal has not been working. It is unclear whether the “policymakers” are even aware of this situation, or if they too are being misled by incorrect reports and statistics .
