Outcomes that will add momentum to the India-Cyprus friendship!

We discussed ways to increase cooperation in infrastructure, energy, agriculture, technology and financial services. We also view defence and security as a key means of furthering bilateral friendship. Emphasis will remain on boosting cultural as well as people-to-people ties.

At the Oslo City Hall, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and I took part in the Business and Research Summit. It was good to interact with those active in the world of business and research. Our nations can collaborate extensively in areas like food security, fertilisers, fisheries and energy. I invited Norway to invest in India’s clean energy initiatives. Also talked about India’s reform trajectory. An area like shipbuilding too presents unlimited possibilities. @jonasgahrstore

These outcomes will add new strength to a partnership rooted in trust, sustainability and shared aspirations. Key outcomes include the Green Strategic Partnership and deeper cooperation in space, digital technologies, health, capacity building and other future-oriented sectors.

Held fruitful talks with PM Jonas Gahr Støre in Oslo. One of the key highlights was the upgrading of our bilateral partnership to a Green Strategic Partnership, which will deepen synergy in clean energy, sustainable growth, the blue economy, green shipping and more. Landed in Oslo, Norway. I’m grateful to Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre for the warm welcome at the airport. This is the first Prime Ministerial visit to Norway in over four decades. I’m confident it will add vigour to the India-Norway friendship. I will call on Their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja and hold talks with Prime Minister Støre. Tomorrow, on the 19th, the 3rd India-Nordic Summit will take place in Oslo, presenting a wonderful opportunity to meet my Nordic counterparts. @jonasgahrstore

My visit to Sweden was marked by several important outcomes that will add new momentum to India-Sweden relations. From elevating our ties to a Strategic Partnership, launching the Joint Innovation Partnership 2.0 and the India-Sweden Technology and Artificial Intelligence Corridor, to setting an ambitious goal of doubling bilateral trade in the next five years, the discussions were highly productive. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and I met business leaders of Sweden in Gothenburg last evening. Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria also took part in this interaction. We had wide ranging conversations with the business leaders on how economic linkages between India and Sweden can be enhanced, particularly in futuristic technologies, R&D, AI, security and healthcare.
