I FINALLY figured it out. PSA search engine is legit stupid at times. For anything vintage you can't type the name of the pokemon and what number it is...search just will NOT work. Just type in the year and part of the set name and the number Pokemon in the set you're looking for and BAM....Dark Charizard appears. BTW, this issue only is for vintage. If you want the Phantasmal Charizard, just type in "Mega Charizard 125", super easy. Vintage just makes it impossible to search through PSA....NO IDEA why. ...legit spent a good 5 minutes trying to pull up the Dark Charizard from Rocket.

Ive been collecting Pokemon first edition sealed boxes and and cards for over 10 years. Ive ripped open 1st edition boxes on stream, had some crazy pulls, and have loved it since i was a kid.... but in the past weeks I sold 95% of my 1st edition boxes and cards, why? Because I lived the NFT hype, i lived the memecoin hype, and many more downs. Im seeing people paying ridiculous prices for things with absurd pop, the level of parabolic price is not sustainable. this is the "retail is here moment" I kept a few of my personal favorites but all in all, SOLD. For those buying now with intention to sell, just be careful. When it dries it dries quick, years ago it would have taken me weeks or months to offload my 1st edition things, these arent liquid assets.

@johnwbigfella @KabutoKing_ Everyone expects lower prices off of eBay anyway. Plus you can sell cards above market on eBay easily. All balances out.

@KabutoKing_ Tons of activity on FB marketplace too that would go on over ebay if you didn’t lose 15%+. The fee being included on shipping is absurd. The ‘promotion’ costs are absurd

Yes eBay is in the lead now, but competition is coming especially with all the money flowing into the hobby. Someone will develop a platform with 5% fees and force the entire industry to change. Just like what Robinhood did in finance with 0% commission fees on trades.

@KabutoKing_ eBay fees are worth it tbh for the amount of traffic they bring and buyer/seller protections. Would take a lot to convince me to list my cards on a platform that gets a fraction of the traffic.

Ebay should cut seller fees for trading cards to 5% overnight. They would have complete domination over the marketplace immediately. The increased sales volume will make up for the lower fees. 13%+ is ridiculous

Surging Sparks One of the most printed sets in S&V but you have to think a majority of the supply is behind us People forget how hyped up this set was at release Reprints and newer sets cooled it down hard

@PokeHEX5555 Funny thing is Fusion Strike and Chilling Reign were considered bad sets back in the day, and were being fire sold at dirt cheap prices

Pokemon Set releases are going to be stacked later this year. Pokemon has done this before funny enough 5 years ago for 25th Anniversary Set Celebrations Released: -June 17th, Chilling Reign -August 26th, Evolving Skies -October 6th, Celebrations -October 30th Fusion Strike That's 4 Set releases in 4 months. We may see something similar in the June to October time frame again!

I predict Pokemon will discontinue the traditional 36-pack booster boxes within the next 3-5 years. ETB’s and smaller products will take over. Less printing needed, more shelf space filled.

Lists card on eBay, buyer buys it, I get 87%. Lists card on Facebook, 10 people ask for more pictures, some of the surface in better light, some of the back, some of the corners, none offer over 90%. I know people complain about eBay fees but tbh I’d pay 13% to be left alone.

@MoonOverlord I think the big 3 will still be around (magic, Pokemon, yugioh). The volume of magic cards sold closely rivals Pokemon due to how many people play it.

my TCG hot take is every single TCG other than Pokemon is a bust and will either not be around or not be relevant in 5-10 years from now, that includes one piece, magic the gathering (already happened) etc

@PokeLootCards @PokeSignals I stopped responding to condition sensitive buyers, in my experience they either end up returning it or complaining.

I always ask for 100 angles of pictures grading or not and I always ask for a little bit lower on ebay because most sellers over price there cards I feel it’s not that hard for ebay seller to respond in a respect manner and give pictures when asked because that person is interested in your card. If you can’t do that I don’t think your fit for selling anything 😂

I don't know who needs to hear this. ❗️Ebay sellers are not card graders❗️ If you want to buy a card online with the idea of only buying to grade, the risk is completely falls on you. Ask for pictures and make your own decision. If you want to nitpick PSA 10 candidates, go to card shows. Does this drive anyone else insane?

@andreijikh Big difference in that people actually want to own rare and cool Pokemon cards... No one wants to own shitcoins, they just want to sell them for more money.
