This couldn’t be further from the truth. People commenting on things they know nothing about. They wouldn’t know who Darling was if not for Pitino.
Pitino signed Darling at the last minute in the portal as a backup PG. Rick wanted him back next year but Darling wanted to start. Darling isn’t a high-major starting PG. It’s that simple.

@joetipton Jr hockey model allows players to develop before college, that’s why the average age for freshman in college hockey are 20 years old. Jr players in America do not get paid. But play for free in USHL and NAHL. NCDC is tier 3 in my opinion as youth organization tuition pays.
