Spent *many* hours with Claude refining ideas, design/implementation details, and the roadmap for the trading engine I'm building. It's... ambitious. Probably too much for a single person. But I can't help it... engineering is fun 😅

$QQQ monthly has been climbing at a steady angle since 2009, with a steeper ascent in 2020 followed by a mean reversion, and a renewed acceleration since 2023. Maybe time for another mean reversion to the MA50? Hopefully not. The next support level on the weekly is around 535.

@Jeppez420 I have it too and love it... until dust builds up in the optical sensor and the wheel starts skipping or scrolling in the wrong direction. It needs to be opened and cleaned regularly, which is annoying.

Been mostly on the sidelines lately, which felt oddly satisfying—until yesterday. I placed 4 limit orders 1-2 ADR from the previous close. Normally none fill that far out. This time all 4 hit, then price sliced right through the stop levels. Great timing on my market return...

I follow best practices by using complex and random passwords generated by my password manager. Meanwhile, @IBKR just force-updated my TWS on Linux, and now I can't copy/paste my password to login anymore. These guys have been vibe coding before AI was even a thing.

One underrated moat is quality. AI-generated code tends to be less reliable, less optimized, harder to audit, and more prone to security vulnerabilities than code written by experienced engineers. In high-stakes verticals, “it works most of the time” simply isn't good enough.
