it's cool when i meet people and they tell me about how they've forked executor, what it's unlocked for them, or when they even just talk about what they learned from the codebase
since most run it locally i get no visibility into that, always love learning how it helps people

Was quite interested in the idea of Solo as a control plane for agents (reminds me of k8s) and the idea of voice agent as an interface so spent the weekend replicating the setup by @codeSTACKr with @livekit.
No @better_auth yet but that's the next step.

I built a way to call my Solo workspace from a phone. Ask "any of my agents waiting on me?" The voice agent fans out and reports who is stuck. Tell it the answer. It queues your message into the right terminal. The agent unblocks. LiveKit Agents wrapping Solo's MCP.

Framework was one path I would've taken but I have no regrets going full HBM GPUs with NVLink.
Would still love the Framework Pro 13 soon.

Embraced FIRE from a young age and got out of the shackles of 9-5 early on.

GitLab announced a layoff today. Please take this seriously. There will be many, many more. Your assignment is clear: Get skilled with agents and practice shipping to prod. It doesn't matter if you're HR, eng, infra, customer success, admin, ops, sales, whatever. As a Founder/CEO, I can tell you that I won't be hiring any employees who aren't really skilled with agents and able to ship to prod. I'm not alone in this. There is no 'engineering' org in the future.
