Kurdish traditions are constantly stolen, repackaged, and relabeled as Persian or Iranian. Chwarshama Suri, including the tradition of jumping over bonfires, has always been Kurdish. No matter how much they try to steal it or claim it as Persian, it will never lose its Kurdish roots.
