My friend @jplhomer and I are doing a podcast! Join us as we trying to figure out JavaScript, careers, and life. Apple: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/jos… Spotify: open.spotify.com/show/0vYvGQxtd…

So @crim_codes and I started a podcast. It's called "Josh and Austin Figure It Out." Lots of technical; some career and life talk. Available where you find podcasts. Fun fact: we met on Twitter, but our families have known each other for like 50 years...?

Vague criticism is the easiest and most worthless type of commentary. “X thing is stupid” “No one should use X thing” “X thing is broken” This is just noise. Being specific helps everyone. After hearing @calebporzio talk about this, I can’t stop seeing it.

@TRPage_dev @jplhomer Totally, can't wait to pull out this story when the kids are older and complaining about some long drive

@ryanflorence So weird to see you as a post-React reply guy, but I’m excited to see where it goes

Fresh blog! Let's build a tiny version of React while reminiscing on why its initial ideas were so fresh.

This redesign has taken far longer than I would've liked, but I'm also finally taking the time to have the app automate everything it can. It's definitely not there yet (note the raw html being output) but I'm super proud of it already

It was my birthday last week! I've been enjoying life lately, and I wanted to write about *why* I think that is. Mainly so I can go back and reminisce someday. jplhomer.org/posts/thirty-s…

@adamwathan I hit this all the time too. Can't cmd-w a tab if you've focused the sidebar, etc. Seems like something in this doc is the answer but I've never been able to figure it out #contexts" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">zed.dev/docs/key-bindi…

@ryanflorence That’s a big part. But it mostly comes down to aesthetic preference tbh. The big frameworks are mostly functionally equivalent, as your original post points out, I would just guess people splinter over what feels better to write rather than rendering perf specifically

My read on the React alternatives is their primary selling point is better performance through alternative dependency tracking approaches When I look at the APIs they look identical with mostly identical semantics - state thing - effect thing - elements What am I missing?
