🔹Public land & public dollars are finite. NYC choosing to subsidize private developers to build $3k studio units means fewer dollars, resources, and less land to build and preserve public housing for everyone.

anytime i hear ppl speaking about the fbi & it’s not critical, in any way, especially when speaking about things like joint terrorism task forces, it is concerning to me. without even thinking hard, 3 comrades immediately come to mind who have been caught in the snare of such a task force in the last few years (for anti fascist actions). 2 of those comrades were woken up by law enforcement, coordinated by such a task force, throwing flash bangs into their home, pointing guns at them & their neighbors—this kind of situation is also life-threatening. if you know anything about the history of state repression against movements, you know the state is as deadly against ppl fighting fascists as the fascists the state sometimes works with. some of the liberal creep the anti-fascist movement in the US has had to work against is ppl not taking the latent fascism of liberal democracy & how the state works with fascists whenever convenient srsly enough. it is important to hold a line against this kind of thing & calling for things like more charges against whoever / encouraging the making of a more robust “criminal justice system” with the idea that it can somehow be more fair or capable of justice for those who are structurally in a position to never get justice, is always going to be a mistake. & that is true whether it is for the sake of women (as carceral feminism believes) or any other group. it all has to go or everything stays the same / worsens especially for marginalized ppl & anyone standing with them.
