The Wall Street Journal reports that Trump has ordered a new attack on Iran that could begin as soon as this weekend and last several days, with the stated aim of forcing Tehran to surrender and return to negotiations. CBS News separately says Trump is planning to strike Iranian energy infrastructure targets for the next two weeks. At a Camp David cabinet meeting, Trump said the U.S. would hit Iran “very hard” until its leaders conclude they “just can’t take it anymore.” WSJ says the reported options include a two-week intensive air campaign focused on Iran’s missile capabilities, though U.S. officials have warned that dwindling munitions could constrain the operation. The report says Trump has privately called Iranians “crazy,” dismissed the interim peace deal as meaningless, and told confidants he always knew it would fail. He also accusing Iranian diplomats of being “very dishonorable” and said, “All they do is make me angry.” wsj.com/world/middle-e…

Israeli authorities mark the new Trump Board of Peace agreement with massive air strikes targeting residential blocks in Gaza in the middle of the night.

💢 NEW: Israel Bombs Gaza, Kills Palestinians Hours After Trump Declares “Historic Breakthrough” Within hours of President Donald Trump announcing a new agreement, new Israeli bombings and gunfire attacks killed at least one Palestinian and wounded several others in Gaza, medical authorities told outlets. Gaza relief coordinator Eyad Amawi told Drop Site News that Israeli forces also ordered the forced displacement of whole residential blocks in two different locations, in Deir al-Balah and Nuseirat refugee camp. The orders violate the original ceasefire, as well as the newly agreed deal, and forced hundreds of Palestinians, including families with young children, to flee again in the middle of the night with nowhere to go. Hundreds are sleeping in the streets, Amawi told Drop Site. The forced evacuations are part of Israel’s continued advance beyond the original ceasefire line. Under the watch of the U.S. President and his U.N.-backed Board of Peace, Israel has expanded its “Yellow Line” (marking the territory it controls in Gaza), from roughly 53% to around 70%, without either challenging the illegal advance. Hamas said Friday that the first step toward implementing the agreement must be an Israeli commitment “to stopping the killing and ending its attacks.” A senior Israeli official immediately said there would be “no withdrawal whatsoever” from the current Yellow Line unless Hamas undergoes what Israel considers “genuine disarmament.” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not publicly said whether he accepts President Trump’s deal, which requires Israel to halt its attacks, finally allow adequate food, water, shelter and fuel into besieged Gaza, and withdraw first to the original ceasefire line, and then from all of Gaza.

Full Statement: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Press Statement Hamas and the Palestinian factions have dealt responsibly and positively with the negotiation process and the mediators' proposals to complete the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement. This was done with national consensus among the Palestinian factions, reflecting a spirit of partnership and responsibility, stemming from our commitment to protecting our people, meeting their humanitarian needs, and safeguarding their national rights. The occupation's commitment to halting the killing and ending its aggression is the fundamental prerequisite and the first step towards implementation and establishing the framework and timetable for what has been agreed upon. It is emphasized that the implementation of the second phase of the agreement is contingent upon the occupation's commitment to implementing all the provisions of the first phase. The inclusion of the issue of heavy weapons within the framework of the agreement was linked to and conditional upon a complete cessation of all forms of aggression, withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, achieving early recovery, the entry of the Administrative Committee, the deployment of international protection forces, the disbanding of armed gangs and militias formed by the occupation, reconstruction, guaranteeing the right to self-determination, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, and the protection of citizens' rights. Hamas and the Palestinian factions extend their greetings and appreciation to our steadfast people in the Gaza Strip, and affirm their commitment to continuing to work together on this path for the sake of our people and to safeguard all their rights. A Drop Site report uncovered that Brad Parscale, a longtime advisor to President Donald Trump, and his company Clock Tower X have signed a $46.5 million contract with the Israeli government to deploy “websites and content to deliver GPT framing results on GPT conversations.” The intent of the agreement is thus to influence artificial intelligence-powered chatbots, tools like Claude or ChatGPT, to respond favorably to inquiries about the U.S.-Israeli relationship. Parscale’s team recently told Axios they are “seeing success” at getting popular Al systems to incorporate information from their sites, though they declined to provide data. Drop Site’s Julian Andreone pressed senators about this development and asked whether they see a conflict of interests, have national security concerns, or take objection to the corruption. @JulianAndreone | @nick_clevelands

Drop Site contributor Camila Lourdes Galarza joined Democracy Now! to discuss her reporting on the murder of Ecuadorian prosecutor Alexandra Bravo, who had been investigating alleged U.S. attacks and torture involving three fishing vessels. Lourdes Galarza repeated that Bravo faced pressure to treat the cases only as disappearances, struggled to obtain cooperation from Ecuadorian agencies, and was removed from the investigation shortly before she and her sister were shot dead. Her earlier Drop Site investigation exposed the bombing, detention and torture of 36 Ecuadorian fishermen by U.S. forces. That reporting was later cited during a congressional hearing with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Lourdes Galarza spoke from an undisclosed location after receiving death threats in Ecuador. 🔗 Read her latest report at Drop Site News: “Prosecutor Investigating U.S. Boat Strikes and Claims of Torture Was Murdered in Ecuador.” Link in reply. @sovietwithsazon | @democracynow

💢🇵🇸 NEW: President Donald Trump claims the U.S. has “an understanding with Israel” that it will abide by the newly announced Gaza roadmap that involves Hamas storing heavy weapons and Israel withdrawing its forces from Gaza. But Israeli officials immediately signaled opposition to key provisions, with influential far-right minister Itamar Ben Gvir demanding continued assassinations and Palestinian expulsion. Prime Minister Netanyahu has not yet commented on the deal. DETAILS: 🔸Asked whether Washington had received assurances from Israel, Trump said: ➤ “We do have an understanding with Israel.” ➤ “Israel is very happy about it. Israel helped us, and they’ve been very good,” he added. ➤ “Will it go through its ups and downs? It’s a very complex situation over there… But it’s a great breakthrough. Nobody’s ever thought that be possible to disarm Hamas.” ➤ “It’s a big step for the Middle East, and people are really impressed by it.” 🔸 But a “senior Israeli official” told Israeli reporters this morning that Israel would not withdraw even from its expanded Yellow Line positions that now occupy 70% of Gaza without what it considers Hamas’s disarmament. The official said: ➤“In response to various publications this morning about political progress in the Gaza Strip, Israel has reiterated that there will be no IDF withdrawal from the current Yellow Line without the genuine disarmament of Hamas.” ➤ The same official had more explicitly rejected the Board of Peace proposal Thursday, saying it failed to meet Israel’s demand for Hamas’s full disarmament as a precondition for withdrawal. ➤ The official did not specify what Israel objected to in the proposed gradual decommissioning of Hamas’s weapons. ➤ President Trump has allowed Israel to expand its control of Gaza from 53% At the start of the October 2025 ceasefire to about 70% currently, moving the Yellow Line deeper into the territory in blatant violation of the agreement. 🔸National Security Minister Ben Gvir called the deal “unacceptable,” attacking provisions to halt assassinations and gradually withdraw Israeli forces. He said: ➤“After the October 7 massacre, the blood of every Hamas member is on his head, and therefore a commitment to stop the assassinations of the terrorist organization’s murderers is tantamount to agreeing to Hamas organizing for the next massacre.” ➤ “The assassinations in Gaza must continue, the encouragement of Palestinian emigration from the Strip must happen. Israel must win.”

💢 🇵🇸 Israel closes case into brutal 2023 torture of Palestinians by soldiers and settlers, no one charged The Israeli military has closed its investigation into a ruthless 2023 assault on three Palestinians in the occupied West Bank without charging anyone, according to a report in Haaretz. The military prosecutor claimed it could not tie specific soldiers and settlers to the attack. The three men were seized by Israeli soldiers and settlers in the village of Wadi al-Seeq on October 12, 2023, and abused for hours. According to their testimony, they were beaten, stripped to their underwear, bound, and photographed. Two were urinated on, one had cigarettes stubbed out on his body, and one was sexually assaulted, with an attacker attempting to rape him. The attack, among the most brutal documented cases of settler-soldier violence, drew international coverage at the time. Its closure underscores Israel’s ongoing failure to prosecute violence against Palestinians, with arrests uncommon, indictments rarer, and convictions almost nonexistent.

CNN: Yeah, I think a lot of people watching this to hear you, a Parkland survivor, talk about AIPAC in the same breath as NRA, will be surprising. HOGG: It shouldn’t be. Both are getting kids killed. I don't draw a line between whether it's kids in Parkland, kids on any street in America, or if it's kids in Palestine.

🚢 A major oil spill is spreading off Oman from the crippled Russian shadow-fleet tanker Caroline Bezengi, which is carrying an estimated 800,000 to 1 million barrels of crude, Reuters reports. 🔹The 274-meter, Cameroon-flagged vessel began leaking after an onboard explosion left it without power, listing, partially submerged, and no longer transmitting its position. Satellite imagery shows a heavy slick extending from its port side. 🔹The tanker has drifted onto rocks near al-Qibliyyah island, a protected marine sanctuary. Rough monsoon conditions and strong seasonal winds are accelerating the spill toward Oman’s coastline. 🔹The vessel first reported serious problems on June 8, after a suspected onboard explosion near Yemen. However, the spill itself was not clearly visible in satellite imagery until early July, with images from July 2 onward showing oil around the tanker.

⭕️ President Donald Trump offered no clear path back to the memorandum of understanding with Iran, saying, “We just want to win,” while signaling the renewed war could continue. His remarks on the war on Iran cabinet meeting this morning: ➤ “We’re trying to be as nice as you can be in a situation like that…They cannot have a nuclear weapon. Iran will not have a nuclear weapon.” ➤ Asked whether Americans should expect the exchange of strikes to continue, Trump replied, “A little bit.” “It would be foolish to say no. You always have to keep your guard up.” ➤ Trump claimed Iran is always interested in talks but repeatedly breaks its word. Asked whether a deal remained possible, he said, “I’m losing faith in them,” accusing Tehran of firing missiles at U.S. troops in Jordan while negotiations were underway. ➤ Asked how many more U.S. strikes would be required to restore maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump answered, “You never know.” “Most people would have given up by now… They haven’t, so I give them credit for that. They’re tough,” he said.

💢 President Donald Trump clarifies that Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s campaign to “bring the International Criminal Court to heel” is intended to protect Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and others facing ICC scrutiny. Speaking at Camp David, Rubio said: “The International Criminal Court has made themselves illegitimate because they claim that even if you’re not a member of that court, we can come after you… They’re very arrogant. So we’ve now begun an effort to really try to bring them to heel.” Trump interjected to make Rubio’s objective clear: “He’s trying to defend Bibi and various other people.” The U.S. President said Rubio’s campaign against the ICC has nothing to do with protecting him.
