The craziest thing about Newsom's $100 million wildlife bridge is that it will allow cougars, an apex predator, direct access into a suburban neighborhood filled with pets, children, and the elderly. It's like the radical environmentalist version of The Purge.

@Donaldtfoster @Voidship1 @christopherrufo Naw. The bridge allows wildlife to cross without getting run over by cars, and it also helps save human lives. The problem is the cost and the slow pace of construction.

@zalaly @BMJMedicine At this moment, I'm reducing my dose from 10mg to 5mg and will eventually stop taking the peptides.

This will only happen if people go back to old habits and eat without control. I'm currently taking a GLP-1 peptide, and I learned that it's not just the peptide that helps, but people need to adopt better habits when it comes to food. And I also do strength training, and that has helped me a lot. I lost around 45lb of fat while keeping most of my muscle.

What happens to the heart when people stop GLP-1 drugs? The short answer: nothing good. New from our team: a study of 330,000+ people in @BMJMedicine 🧵

Elon is a genius, but he overpromises on all his companies. I noticed that he makes these absurd overpromises to jack up the evaluation of his companies so he can leverage them. He has done it with Tesla; full autonomous and robotaxi. Energy: solar panel in every house, remember SolarCity. SpaceX: colonizing Mars. He says that, instead of Mars, it's the moon. Tesla semi-truck: There are only a few in operation in the Bay Area. He overpromises, and we, the people, are naive to believe him. He has lost his mojo.

Tesla cars last a long time and he is trying to solve a very difficult problem, that can save 40k lives a year in US and 1.2M lives a year all over the world. Remember the falcon wings for X, cyber truck windshield wiper and what a fabulous car S is, these were hard problems, and two of these will be gone forever soon. I think we should be support of him and be patient. No one else comes close to him in solving difficult problems for others. I wanted to build another house with 2 growing daughters, but every time I think of Elon’s home value to net worth ratio, I feel others who want to comment on his motivations for everything he does, they should ponder more. $50,000 divided by $839 B.

Tesla’s forthcoming AI5 uses a half-reticle design, which is crucial for yield. A reticle defines the imaging area of a lithography machine, fitting two chips per shot effectively doubles yield. This means the Tesla chip design team had to carefully manage die features, for instance dropping the older ISP (and classic GPU) to make room for more AI cores. By contrast, NVIDIA’s Blackwell fills nearly a full reticle, making it a single-reticle design. If Tesla hits its compute and efficiency targets with AI5 in this half-reticle format, it’s almost like cutting fab requirements in half. And this has a big impact on Terafab, especially if it carries forward for AI6, AI7, etc.
phil beisel tweet media
phil beisel@pbeisel

Terafab may be the most essential vertical integration Tesla has ever undertaken— and it is truly non-optional. It will take years to build and will test even Elon’s speedrunning abilities to the limit, but that won’t stop him from trying. The breakthrough likely lies in overhauling the overall facility’s cleanroom model. By moving wafers in sealed pods with localized micro-environments, the fab no longer needs a monolithic ultra-clean space. Elon’s line about “eating cheeseburgers and smoking cigars” on the fab floor isn’t silly, it’s the practical reality of a radically simpler, cheaper, faster approach that could finally change the economics of chipmaking. This is all forced by the brutal “pinch” in chip supply. Tesla must produce on the order of 100–200 billion AI chips per year just to saturate its roadmap. That volume powers: FSD cars & Robotaxis (tens of millions of vehicles needing AI5 inference for near-perfect autonomy), Physical Optimus (scaling from thousands today to millions per year, each requiring AI5/AI6-level compute), Digital Optimus (the new xAI-Tesla software agents for digital/office automation, running massive inference clusters), Space-based data centers (AI7/Dojo3 orbital compute for GW-scale training and inference beyond Earth limits). AI5 delivers the ~10× leap for vehicles and early robots; AI6 shifts focus to Optimus + terrestrial DCs; AI7 goes orbital. No external foundry (TSMC, Samsung, etc.) can deliver that scale or timeline— hence the Terafab launch. Without it, the entire robotics + autonomy future hits a brick wall. Terafab isn’t optional; it’s the only way forward.

I don't dispute that they are safe. I own a Model Y. But Elon has overpromised that FSD would be fully autonomous since HW2, and that people would be able to use their cars as robotaxis and earn cash. And he was rewarded when Tesla's stock reached 2,000. So now Hw3 and it seems like Hw4 will not be able to be fully autonomous. He is milking people for cash and expects people to buy a new Tesla. Plus, EV depreciation is the worst, just like the Mercedes-Benz wagon.

@danmxh1 @pbeisel @elonmusk Nah, back in school, not much money and 10 odd dollars was still a lot of money then for music. Different folks, different strokes. Tesla cars are more safer than other cars and we can save $100/month. The other cars do not have FSD option.

You seemed to be pretty well off. But others don't have the luxury of leasing or purchasing a new car every 3-5 years. Most Tesla owners own a Tesla with H3, and they expect H3 to be fully autonomous, like Elon said. I don't have cash to spend 65k for another model Y, but I have $10 to buy a new album every month.

It maybe personal preference, but I agree with my roommate, I would prefer to listen to all the new songs when they are released and as many times and enjoy thoroughly, rather than wait for the radio to play selectively. Still supervised, but massive improvements since I bought it in 2019. My FSD stats are in the high 90s and without micro driving, you do not get tired driving and enjoy other things. My wife drives my young daughters much more than I do and I am very grateful to Elon for FSD. It changes lifestyle even now. I am unable to connect my family’s safety with dollars.

Whoever is in charge of the homeless crisis, I give them an F. They think it is the lack of homes, and also we have loose laws against sleeping in the street, especially in the City of LA. Some people don't care about fixing the problem because it's a cash cow for a lot of companies that cater to the homeless. If you want to get rid of the crisis, have stricter laws and force people into rehabilitation or put them in jail.
