Fed Chair Powell was just asked at his press conference if the world is in an era of frequent supply shocks. He responded by dismissing the recent shocks as "one-offs."
That's not where my thinking is. As outlined in the book "Permacrisis," there are good reasons to suggest that we are in a world of more frequent and more violent shocks.
