The rumor of an alleged plot to remove the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja, by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State isn’t surprising to me. The Ibadan chieftaincy system is a time-honored institution built on order, dignity & due process, which is envied far & wide. But trust politicians to always get carried away by power, then attempt to destroy heritage for selfish reasons. Mr. Seyi Makinde that was assisted by Sen. Rashidi Ladoja & Sen. Sharafadeen Alli to become Governor is now hounding both men, over failed forceful High Chiefs’ coronation.

This guy was elected into Natl'Assembly in 2015 representing IBSE/SW his performance was absolutely terrible that he was denied to secure return ticket by his people. With the hope of the youths resting on his performance then as the youngest around he failed and failed woefully.

Bauchi APC caucus rejects move to admit Bala Mohammed The Bauchi State caucus of the All Progressives Congress has rejected moves to admit Governor Bala Mohammed into the party. The caucus made its position known during a briefing on Tuesday night following a meeting held in Abuja. Speaking after the caucus meeting, the senator representing Bauchi North Senatorial District and Chairman of the Bauchi APC caucus, Sama’ila Dahuwa, said members unanimously resolved to reject Mohammed’s proposed admission into the party. According to him, the caucus, after exhaustive deliberations, “unequivocally rejects” the move. The caucus expressed concern that Mohammed had consistently made public statements critical of President Bola Tinubu, as well as the APC, including remarks perceived to undermine the party’s unity and integrity. It noted that the governor had neither retracted such statements nor made any formal reconciliation efforts or public apology to the party leadership and members. “In view of the foregoing, the caucus firmly holds that his admission into the APC at this time will be detrimental to the party’s cohesion, credibility, and electoral prospects in Bauchi State,” Dahuwa stated. The caucus further declared that it would not support any move capable of compromising the party’s stability and political fortunes. It also criticised what it described as a failure to consult critical stakeholders within the Bauchi APC on matters of such political importance, describing the omission as inconsistent with the principles of internal democracy and inclusiveness. The caucus said it would formally communicate its position to the party’s national leadership and demand strict adherence to due process and established party structures.

Sigh! 🫣 I’m a graduate of Moshood Abiola polytechnic, Ogun state…I studied food science and Technology with a very good grade… The fact that i became a household name with Yoruba movies doesn’t mean I am not well grounded in English language… I can hold my ground in both languages and I wouldn’t like to be boxed into one corner.. Thanks, I appreciate your opinion over the movie..

Omo, I didn’t know this actress Dayo Amusa can speak this well, I’ve always thought she was only built for Yoruba movies alone… This is a shock to me sha 😂😂😂..She really killed this role in this movie..I enjoyed every bit..👇👀

Ogun Airport Is Built. Now the Real Work Begins. For too long, infrastructure in Nigeria has been treated as an end in itself a ribbon cut, a speech delivered, a photograph taken, and then a slow drift into underutilization. That must not be the fate of Ogun State’s newly built and commissioned airport. The era of symbolic projects is over. This is the moment for execution. Airports do not thrive on asphalt and terminals alone; they thrive on traffic, on purpose, and on a coherent economic ecosystem that feeds them. If Ogun Airport is to succeed quickly and it must it requires an aggressive, disciplined, and intelligently sequenced destination marketing and economic activation strategy. The foundation is already clear: Ogun is not an empty proposition. It is a state rich in culture, industry, agriculture, history, and proximity advantage. What has been missing is orchestration the deliberate packaging and projection of these assets into a compelling, year-round destination economy. The first order of business is visibility. A bold “Destination Ogun” launch, anchored at the airport itself, should immediately signal intent. Branding must not be timid: the imagery of Olumo Rock, the global story of Adire, the understated beauty of Ogun’s coastline, and the depth of its culinary heritage should dominate both physical and digital spaces. The message must be unmistakable: Ogun is open, accessible, and ready. But awareness without experience is hollow. Within the first quarter, Ogun must lean into sectors where it can win quickly food and wellness. The #TasteOgun campaign, backed by farm-to-table festivals in Abeokuta and Sagamu, can position the state as Nigeria’s emerging hub for authentic, healthy, and locally rooted cuisine. Organic markets, eco-retreats, and wellness tourism are not luxuries; they are global growth segments. Ogun can and should own that space domestically. Culture, however, remains Ogun’s most potent currency. By mid-year, the state must elevate its heritage into immersive experiences. The Olumo Rock experience should not be a static visit but an event enhanced with technology, competitions, and storytelling. An Adire Carnival can transform a traditional craft into a global fashion and cultural spectacle. Strategic media partnerships locally and internationally must ensure that Ogun’s story is told not as an afterthought, but as a headline. Equally critical is Ogun’s geographic advantage. The airport’s success will depend heavily on how well it positions itself against the dysfunction of Lagos congestion. The #FlyOgun campaign should not merely advertise convenience; it should prove it. Seamless travel packages, partnerships with airlines like Value Jet, and integrated hospitality offerings must create a frictionless alternative for travelers. Ogun should become the preferred entry point not the secondary option. By the second half of the year, momentum must translate into scale. Festivals such as Ojude Oba already have global appeal; what they require is amplification. A deliberate diaspora homecoming strategy, tied to these cultural moments, can convert nostalgia into economic activity. New initiatives, such as a curated Ogun Beach Festival, can expand the state’s tourism calendar and diversify its attractions. Yet tourism alone is insufficient. By the eleventh month, Ogun must pivot to investment. A Tourism and Hospitality Summit should bring together investors, hotel chains, airlines, and diaspora business networks to translate foot traffic into fixed capital. Airports thrive when they anchor ecosystems resorts, logistics hubs, agro-processing zones, and conference destinations. This is where long-term value is secured.

WELCOME TO OGUN STATE, MR. PRESIDENT Mr. President, welcome to Ogun State. Aare Ago of Egbaland, welcome home to the land of Efunroye Tinubu that formidable matriarch whose legacy still resonates across generations. It is perhaps worth recalling that Efunroye was the daughter of Keesi, with maternal roots in my own homestead. History binds us in ways that should guide both memory and responsibility. Let me commend you for the bold and necessary work you have embarked upon. The task of redirecting a nation’s developmental trajectory is neither cosmetic nor immediately gratifying. It is often misunderstood by those who lack the depth to appreciate processes still unfolding. It therefore falls on those with maturity and clarity of thought to steady the ship to encourage patience, insist on discipline, and reinforce the necessity of sustained execution. We are beginning to glimpse the early signs the dew of promise even as we await the inevitable rain of abundance. My earnest counsel is simple: do not relent. Press forward with firmness of purpose. Show empathy where it strengthens the social fabric, but be resolute even unforgiving when reactionary forces seek to exploit ignorance and destabilize the nation. That must never be allowed, regardless of the noise or pressure. The future demands courage, not concession. Nigeria must be great. At this moment in history, you bear that responsibility. Play your part with conviction. When the baton is eventually passed, some of us stand ready by the grace of the Absolute Sovereign to carry it even further. On a more immediate matter, Mr. President @officialABAT GCFR, permit a word on the Ogun governorship. As we say in Yoruba: “E ma ru erin si ori ki e ma fi ese wa iho ire o.” Do not carry an elephant on your head while searching for an ant hole with your foot. The people of Ogun State must retain the dignity and responsibility of determining who succeeds Governor Dapo Abiodun who, in my considered view, has performed commendably. The Gateway International Airport you have come to commission today stands as a strategic economic asset a growth pole whose impact will echo for generations. It is a legacy decision. I must also express appreciation for your approval of the Eba Oil Exploration initiative. However, we must now go further. Ogun State has viable oil deposits, particularly in Tongeji Island. I urge you to grant the necessary approvals to bring this exploration fully on stream. Nigeria must maximize all available resources as we prepare for the future. Once again, Mr. President, welcome home. I wish you a productive, pleasant, and memorable stay in Ogun State. Otunba Segun Showunmi Odofin Keesi The Alternative

FCTA PRESS RELEASE Wike's Aide Clarifies Comment on Channels TV's Okinbaloye Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has clarified one of the comments made by the Minister during yesterday's Media Chat, on Channels Television’s Seun Okinbaloye, saying he only spoke figuratively. Olayinka, in a statement on Saturday, said; "the Minister never meant that he will shoot Seun Okinbaloye. They even spoke on phone today, and he (Okinbaloye) understood what the minister meant." "What the minister meant, which he made clear during the media chat was that he was angry seeing Okinbaloye, whom he hold in high esteem as a journalist, descending into the political arena by speaking as an interested party, instead of an interviewer. "The statement made by the Minister was in hyperbolic context, which was clearly without intent. It was primarily using exaggeration to make a point. "Even after the Minister made the clarifications on the live television program, which had Chamberlain Uzor, Head of Channels Television’s Abuja Office as part of the interviewers, all the journalists who were interviewing him just laughed. "Therefore, after the Minister detailed explanations of what he meant, including saying on the live television program that he didn't mean that he will carry gun and shoot the television anchor, it will become a clear hatchet job for any individual or group to pick the statement out of context and make any issue out of it. "The public is therefore urged to discontenance the use of the comment as instrument of blackmail and propaganda by those whose intent is to misrepresent facts for their political gains," he said.
