@IWLA_org Dr. Wilson is fantastic! I agree. I have a degree in environmental science, have conducted independent research, and lead community science projects and STILL hesitate to call myself a “scientist”.

@DiamonClark Dr. Sacoby Wilson, U of Maryland School of Public Health, spoke at our convention last week and said we should expand our definition of scientist to include community volunteers who collect data & promote environmental health & justice. There's a need & role for these scientists.

Caught this #fox on our #trailcamera carrying prey. What do y’all think it has? This video was recorded at 2am. I’ve rewatched this several times and have no clue.

@highscicomm Woah! This is fascinating. I just did some trail camera surveying of an urban forest in my neighborhood. No coyote- but reports say they’re around.

@VoteMcCray There’s a community protected forest called Fairwood Forest, just up the street from the church. I would love to see our children utilizing that space ✨

I am an #naturalist.
My practice is rooted in #liberation, #leisure, and #resistance. It’s taken me to far away places, on wild adventures, and led me right back to myself.

The July climate outlook from @NWSCPC favors a hotter and drier than average July for regions out West which just experienced a record setting heatwave. Meanwhile, a cooler and wetter month is forecast for the Southeast. climate.gov/news-features/…
