Who is Shaykh Waleed Basyouni? He is a lead imam at the troubling Clear Lake Islamic Center in Houston. This is the same imam who refuses to call Hamas a terrorist organization and says violent jihad is permissible when an Islamic state authorizes it. When a brave Christian TEXAN woman named Mary Speck stood up and warned, “We’re not allowing Islam to come into our nation and take over… We bow down to one King - His name is Jesus Christ,” Commissioner Lesley Briones immediately shut her down and lectured her, saying “respect is non-negotiable for all people” while proudly claiming to speak as a Christian. This is the SAME Commissioner Adrian Garcia who previously showed up to a CAIR-Texas Ramadan event wearing Islamic attire.
