They’re reviewing this for major penalty in Manson. It looks like Manson’s butt-end catches McCarron in the scrum, but I don’t know if that’s penalty… let alone a major

@joelthesakic There's a whole genre that style that I only learned about after dcc called "litrpg" and when you put it that way it makes a ton of sense. I tried to start He Who Fights With Monsters and it hasn't quite gotten there yet for me

@dudepackers The way I describe it to people is it reads like you're playing a video game within a book (which from my understanding is somewhat the background of the series)

@joelthesakic It's got a super solid mix of wtf was that and letting things click right before they reveal something. I've had a hard time getting back into books after a while and it grabbed me right from the beginning

@dudepackers I'm pretty old school I've never really gotten into audiobooks or e-readers (need to hold the book in my hands) but I know tons of people love it. As an avid reader the series is unlike anything I've ever read before its so odd and yet intriguing lol it that makes sense!

@joelthesakic It's been fantastic! We've been doing the audiobook as I started it at work and it's one of the few book recommendations I've given her. Doing the rest of them as audio together a la old timey shows. Super worth the investment if you want to relisten and top tier quality.

@DavyJonesLR Realistically I would love to ditch Ball as a concert venue because they're only okay concerts there. I thought there was another large concert venue coming but can't remember where.

@dudepackers I don’t believe there is one. I guess my thinking was that Ball Arena was willing to host takeover tour games so would also host a full-time PWHL team, but Kroenke is who he is

Disgraceful if Denver doesn't get a franchise. Both their takeover tour games had very strong attendance despite happening the same day as a Broncos playoff game BOTH TIMES. Broncos have sold out every game for over 50 years and the PWHL crowd STILL showed out.

With all of the PWHL chatter of Detroit, Hamilton, San Jose, Vegas… Things in Denver are silent. It does sound like Denver might shockingly miss out. Still plenty of doubts about Edmonton, and sounds like Quebec City is out. Seems more likely a non-Takeover market is in.

@DavyJonesLR Ball arena is just very busy with being a concert venue on top of avs/nuggets/mammoth and whatever one off events and there's not currently another large arena local to Denver that I know of with the capacity you would want for a PWHL franchise

@rtrujillo21 @jessemontano_ I think in this case you can. I don't think this as big a slam on Wallstedt as some are making it out to be. I think it's giving him time to reset and hoping that Gustavsson can grab you a game. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go back to Wally even if Gus has an okay game
