@tweetingboa @BasedMikeLee I dunno. Just means I'm not wearing my mask at the gym now unless some mook is coughing next to me.
English

@dumbassgenius @BasedMikeLee Well, whatever helps you sleep at night. Though I must say it seems unbecoming for a supposed genius to be Branch Covidian-ing in 2026. 😕

If you've had a kidney stone, you've been advised that the most important thing to prevent another bout is to increase hydration. Now a randomized trial of hydration in over 1600 participants showed no benefit, despite evidence of increase during volume. thelancet.com/journals/lance…

⚠️The Great Oil Depression (GOD) of 2026.
Remember that eerie quiet after the Titanic had struck the iceberg and was quietly floating nearby. The passengers were oblivious to what had happened, and continued doing what they were doing.
BUT the designer of the ship knew that the damage done would cause the ship to sink, it was only a matter of time.
We are now there with the global economy.

@tweetingboa @BasedMikeLee LA County. I trust the sewage tech.
English

@dumbassgenius @BasedMikeLee In the Antelope Valley, are you? 🏜️
This sort of year-by-year downward trend in detection suggests to me that the tests are simply becoming outdated. It is a rapidly evolving pathogen after all, and every year there's more strains and less funding. 🤭
English

@tweetingboa @BasedMikeLee The measurements are based on the amount of virus in sewage - doesn't depend on people getting tested.
Red line is 2025-26.

English

@dumbassgenius @BasedMikeLee Probably because no one is obsessively testing for it anymore. Like when the flu magically disappeared from 2020-2022. 🙄

@FluteMagician Trump's approval is so low it drove Gallup out of the presidential polling business. (Gallup originated presidential polling in the 1940s under FDR.)

@ScottJenningsKY 43 states have wildlife crossings, dillbag. They save animal and human lives (unless you'd get a kick out of a deer punching through your windshield).
English

@tweetingboa @BasedMikeLee It's at surprisingly low levels now, at least on the west coast. My wife and I get the flu vax each September, and we got the RSV vax.
English

I mean, it's endemic now. So you're going to.
But it will almost certainly be less severe. Natural immunity to all the viral antigens >>> vaccine immunity to a single viral antigen. You'll still get it, but be partially covered. It's actually better to update your immunity by catching it from time to time. That's how we deal with rapidly evolving endemic respiratory viruses. Plenty of them besides Covid and flu, you know.
English

@tweetingboa @BasedMikeLee Yeah, it was. Took Paxlovid to limit the severity. Still took 17 days to not test positive. Happy that I didn't catch it multiple times.
English

@dumbassgenius @BasedMikeLee As far as you know. But in any case, you still got it in the end like everyone else.
And was it really worthwhile being afraid of it all that time?
English

@LucasSa56947288 I LOVE it! It shows Trump struggling to understand the most basic thing - ANY basic thing (because he's an old moron).
Suckers will buy a million of these cheap, gold-plated junk coins.

🚨BREAKING: Donald Trump’s handpicked Commission of Fine Arts just approved a general design for a 24k gold commemorative coin for the U.S. 250th anniversary featuring Trump’s image.
“I motion to approve this as presented, and with the strong encouragement that you make it as large as possible, all the way to three inches in diameter,” the commission’s vice chair, James McCrery, said.

@LindseyGrahamSC You didn't used to be a complete buttwad.

Yep. Chemotherapy kills more people than the cancer itself. And most oncologist know that but they do it anyway. Why?
