@emissions_api server is updated and the problem with getting new Sentinel 5 data is fixed 🎉

Thanks to @UniOsnabrueck the @emissions_api got an infrastructure update to provide easy access to satellite-based emission data for another ~3.5 years to come 🎉

Version 1.1 of sentinel5dl has been released. The new version includes an important fix for its use on Windows. github.com/emissions-api/…

The @emissions_api has just been updated, mainly fixing a few minor API issues.

By the way you can check out our website emissions-api.org to see which gases are currently included in our #API.

We are happy to announce that our #API now also includes nitrogen dioxide measured from troposphere with @CopernicusEU's #Sentinel5P #satellite.

The Emissions API also contains ozone data now 🎉🥳 and we are not done yet. Stay tuned for other Sentinel 5P Products.

This also marks the end of the old “alpha” version of the API which will disappear over the next few days. This will also remove our monthly $700 AWS bill which was so far (luckily) sponsored by @amazon

We are happy to announce @emissions_api version 2. The new version brings the API away from its unstable “alpha” phase, tracks multiple types of #emissions and is no longer hosted on AWS. emissions-api.org

We apologize for the delay. We wanted to finish this sooner after the end of the official @prototypefund project but sorting out infrastructure and helping with #onlineeducation during the ongoing pandemic stole our time.

As part of the #OpenDataDay hackathon by @ctreffos and @codeforosna the new @emissions_api version two (api.v2.emissions-api.org) is already being used. Here are some visualizations for methane data by @AfflatusArts
