@beknabdik but these are offline models so there’s no provider or concurrency problems, it’s running on my laptop. didn’t thing about non english but surely that can’t be it?

Can someone please explain what benefit @WisprFlow, @WillowVoiceAI or any other voice dictation softwares have over a free tool like Spokenly (not an ad)? Spokenly let's me use offline models meaning there's no telemetry. It has unlimited usage too.

I have solved 3174 LeetCode problems. Week 9 progress update!
This week I solved 21 questions. My favorite was "2612. Minimum Reverse Operations" where I used BFS + two sorted containers to get an O(n log n) solution.

I got rank 712/39,046 in last weeks LeetCode contest!
Q3 - I did an O(n * d) solution. I factorized N using pollard-rho and then for each factor did an O(n) block decomposition. Urgh kinda tricky for me to figure out if a block can be cyclically sorted... whoops
Q4 - I used an augmented union find that supports weighted path distances. Honestly the first time I've used one of these in close to a year and almost forgot they exist. And even then it wasn't very simple.
ELO update: 2658 -> 2629, moving in the wrong direction 😛

I get 10+ students messaging me every day asking if they should still learn CS, what they should do, what I think about the job market, etc
No idea what will happen with AI but here are things I think remain important:
-Being deeply curious and understanding how things work remains important, especially when AI tries to skip this step for us. The world is always going to need smart and curious people. Knowing how something works is never a disadvantage.
-Try to adapt to the new paradigm with positivity. SWE is my 3rd career so I'm used to things always changing. It never gets easier :-)
-Becoming multi-talented is more important than ever. Pretty much everyone at Extend is taking on multiple roles now. Our GTM team codes and our eng team does social media.
-Do things that you love doing because you're going to work much harder at it!
-There are multiple kinds of wealth, relationships, health, money, family, don't forget about the others!
