When floods hit Sri Lanka last year, the EU provided emergency assistance. With this support, @UNICEF helps children recover through safe spaces, psychosocial care, child protection, water & sanitation, and support to reopen schools.

Russia’s air strikes caused oil to spill into the Dniester River, Moldova’s main freshwater source. ⁣ Assistance was deployed from 🇱🇺 and 🇷🇴 via the #EUCivilProtection Mechanism, and the EU is mobilising its own #rescEU reserves to send specialised protective equipment.

Another EU Humanitarian Air Bridge departing from Belgium 🇧🇪 just landed in Al Arish 🇪🇬 with 48 additional tonnes of medical supplies for Gaza, from @WHOoPt & @francediplo_EN. EU support continues but much more is needed to ensure the effective flow of aid into Gaza.
