🚨 Forget what we are doing in Nigeria 🇳🇬 with our football.
We haven't even started yet.
An agent from England 🇬🇧 reached out to me for a potential deal for one of our players @IkoroduCityFC.
He requested for the player’s full games for proper assessment, and I sent three clips to him.
This morning, he sent a six-page analysis of our player to me, breaking down his skills set, analysing, his strength, and weakness.
Comparing the player to AC Milan left winger Raphael Leao, who has €65M price tag.
Above all, the analysis report also suggests the top leagues in Europe, the player will play and excel. Omo!!!!!
At the end of the day, it’s the unlocked levers behind the scenes that will catapult the growth of our industry.
- The agenda pushing with stakeholders - tech (streaming) platforms, big media, telcos, major labels/studios.
- The one million meetings trying to convince people in suits to invest in the sector.
- The lobbying people in government to fix/create policy.
It’s the boring work in offices, on spreadsheets and decks, that will make our entertainment an actual industry.

One of the most important things I have learned in life is to manage your expectations of people.
You cannot expect loyalty from people who have not been tested.
A soldier has to believe in a comrade in battle but the bond built in fighting side by side is what builds trust, respect and appreciation. It is in the most difficult of times that bonds are built. That respect is earned.
You can't just trust anyone but you also can't just keep walking around being cynical. So, here is a balance I attempt.
Trust people to be people. Mostly unreliable, fickle and deceitful... but also capable of dependability and immense good. Give people the benefit of doubt. Give yourself the protection of doubt. And when people show you who they are in those times of difficulty or opportunity, believe them completely and act accordingly.
We are all capable of extreme evil and unbelievable good and moments of lack and/or plenty will bring out true character. Who you are. What you are. Who you become. What you become... these are all products of little decisions over time. Everyday. Every moment. Every decision. Every opportunity. It all adds up and gradually shapes Who you become in life.
Be good to others but also be cautious and unexpectant... be dangerous but kind, considerate and compassionate. Be strong but caring. Humility has been mistaken as the tool of the weak. Humility is only measured by how you treat others in your time of abundance (power, strength, wealth, access and knowledge).
You cannot expect loyalty or leadership from people who have not been tested. You are putting your life, legacy and work in danger. Selah
Since everybody on X abi twitter is rich, let me try to use a context that your rich self may be able to relate to...
If you want to know the true state of things in an economy, dont ask your fellow rich friends.
Ask your domestic staff... your drivers... how they get by. I mean, genuinely talk to them about their kids. Their family. Transportation. Where they live. How they survive.
Things you should already know if you are letting these people live in your homes and drive you and feed your children but hey, its not your business, abi?
Just ask.
When people can no longer find food. What was sacred in the temple, will be moved to the plates.
Songwriters: just because they offer you £100K, £250K or more for a pub deal doesn’t mean you should take it.
Take what you NEED, not the maximum. Recoup faster, get back in the green, and keep leverage for the next deal.

Another night... another complaint about these police officers by the Gerard/Osborne roundabout. Tonight I had officers shining eyes into my eyes. "Inner lights" turn on, car significantly slowed down. I had to raise my hands and cover my eyes. I finally get to them and ask why they would do that? Thats not even safe for them and unprovoked, I get threatened by an officer.
Pls @PoliceNG can whoever you station there not harass people just trying to go home to their family after a hard day's work? Enough is enough. Just begging and harassment! It's been concerning and frustrating. Now its getting dangerous. An unnecessarily agitated police officer with a rifle is a dangerous recipe.
Every time I have a meeting with @GodwinTom, I am reminded that i am not pushing myself to the limit. I am also reminded that altruism can't be faked. This is a man who TRULY cares about the industry and gives his blood, sweat, and tears to it.
People don't see the personal sacrifices, but some of us do, and I will always appreciate and support you inside and out.
Whenever i get tired of fighting for the industry, I look to GT and i tap strength from him.
God Bless Pastor Godwin Tom now and Forever.
Ps: I am the only one allowed to call him Pastor.
