Just had a kid. two weeks old. 1- it is easier than everyone says. there is a lot of down time. he just wants to sleep, eat, be changed, then sleep. 2- it is also HARDER than people say. its a never ending marathon. there is not a break. 24 hours every day. So the hours are easy, the weeks are hard. And we have a LOT OF HELP. We are blessed. 3- I didnt understand how hard moms have it. everyone talks about how hard pregnancy is. my wife had a VERY easy pregnancy. But recovery? I feel like this is what everyone should be talking about. Its like getting hit by a car. My wife is a hero. 4- I know why people dont have kids. Its the money. It is just very expensive. Worth it, but if you are worried about money, I could see it being a blocker. 5- I wish I did it sooner. Being younger would just help. Having younger parents would help. But money got in the way of course. 6- It makes you want to do more. Looking at the little guy, I am like "fuck I am a loser" Its a good new sense of drive. I always wanted to do a lot, but it boils everything else down and just gives you clarity. 7- It does make you think you just wasted a decade NOT doing this. What the fuck was I doing 40 sundays ago? Just watching tv? ordering uber eats? All that time seems silly now. --- Love the guy. Wish everyone reading this the family they want.

I sold puts on Meta. Collected $64,000 instantly. My cash balance after? $232. Cash secured put on the same trade. Would have needed $280,000 sitting in cash doing nothing. That is the difference between cash secured and portfolio secured. I sell puts secured by my base portfolio. VOO. QQQ. Individual stocks. Zero cash sitting idle. Ever. Take the $64k. Buy Meta shares. Buy Meta LEAP calls. Everything compounds at the same time. Meta is now up 31% from the bottom I sold those puts at. Still holding. Breakeven on the put is $420. I would buy Meta at $420 all day. Portfolio secured put wins again.

When I was 22 I was in the military making 20k a year. I firmly remember a master Sergeant sitting me down after I failed to pay a parkin ticket and telling me I was the most incompetent fuck up he'd ever met and that I'd never go anywhere. He just sat there and made fun of me for a half hour in his office. I now make 5x what I used to make a year every day now. I make his yearly income every day in my sleep. If you feel like a loser, its okay. You probably are. The cool part is is you can just get mad and change all of that. The most dangerous part of being a loser is convincing yourself its who you are. You can be whatever the F you want to be. If your life is ass right now, you need to realize...You can push back and change all of it. It's in your power. Nothing is set in stone.

At some point, usually in your 20s, you'll notice that the people around you stop believing in themselves. And no matter how hard you try, you can't save them. By all means, do not let it infect your mind. Stay on your path.

officially had my last day at the 9-5 yesterday slack access revoked, laptop being returned, final paycheck received i started there as an intern and got promoted multiple times up to a senior product manager had a great career trajectory, was getting paid $150k+ per year plus bonus and stock i had a great reputation there but it never felt right i never bought into the office politics, maximizing shareholder value, or kissing up to the boss i’ve always wanted to have my own biz, to work on something i actually cared about that job drained me. i worked 50-60 hours a week on something i actively didn’t like. but wayve saved me after work, weekends, between meetings, pursuing wayve gave me life and energy so ending that era and moving on to full time entrepreneurship makes me feel extremely grateful and excited for what’s to come all it takes to change your life is self belief and consistency thats it
