Real question, did the old CoDs even have an anti cheat? 🤔 Back in their prime, I don’t remember running into cheaters in pubs or ranked at all. Only time I ever noticed anything sketchy was way later, after the game had already gone through its full life cycle.

@MeatyLethrDaddy @MixcnG That may have been true in like 2009 lol. Keyvaults were abundant and about $10 when modding was in its prime. The only expensive part of playing online with a modded Xbox was a stealth service subscription e.g. XBL NiNJA, but even that was only like $50/month

The main reason you didn’t see cheaters is because getting your Xbox modded and learning how to use it was a major time commitment. People didn’t go thru this simply to cheat. It was for fun or making money.

Granted, this is slightly negated with the introduction of duos into Marathon. It's just not a good feeling to queue in with a kit, find that both of your teammates are free kits, and then you are forced to 1v3 most fights (not to mention said free kit teammates vacuuming up loot like a goddamn Dyson)
