Ich verstehe einige Argumente von @SNB_BNS-Chef Martin Schlegel nicht: - Bitcoin sei nicht liquide? Die Marktkapitalisierung liegt bei 1,7 Billionen Dollar – fast identisch zu Silber – und kann 24/7 gehandelt werden. Das Netzwerk läuft seit über 10 Jahren ohne Unterbruch! - Bitcoin sei nicht sicher? Die #Bitcoin-Blockchain wurde noch nie gehackt – im Gegensatz zum SWIFT-Zahlungsnetzwerk. Das einzige Argument, wo er einen Punkt hat: Bitcoin ist volatil. Aber diese Volatilität gilt nur kurzfristig. Langfristig steigt Bitcoin.

Manchmal komm ich einfach nicht drauf klar, wie dumm die meisten Menschen in Bezug auf die einfachsten Dinge sind. Nehmen wir zb das Thema Hautkrebs. Die cremen und cremen wie die Bekloppten, benutzen Deos, Sprays, Bodylotions, Peelings bis zum Erbrechen, am besten Lichtschutzfaktor 1.000 und sehen null Zusammenhang mit den stetig steigenden Hautkrebsfällen. Sie Zahlen explodieren geradezu. Ebenso verhält es sich beim Thema Ernährung, Hormone, Vitamine, Sport. Die meisten Menschen sind wirklich komplett verblödet und sehen die einfachsten Zusammenhänge nicht. Noch schlimmer finde ich nur, wenn die dann auch noch so tun, als seien die anderen die Idioten, während sie komplett ahnungs- und pulslos durchs Leben stolpern.

It is very interesting and almost mind blowing to see this. "All your models" will be destroyed crowd now worshipping a subpar model. I bet 99 % of them don't even realize Saylor's model is an exponential. But one that goes down, not up. LOL. A decaying exponential that at a point for some reason decides to go flat (no reason why it should do that is given). Also you can choose your own decay rate, and your starting CAGR all based on how you feel that day. Seeing all this people worshipping this arbitrary model because you know, Saylor... is incredible and tells a lot about how most people are sheeple. Even Bitcoiners sadly. PS The decay of the returns for the power law is gentler and in fact the decay change becomes smaller and smaller in time.

All of them. Absolutely. Not sure why this point is not understood by non scientists. We make predictions in physics when we look for new particles, when we predict the orbits of planets, or we try to find out the periodicities of a pulsating star, how long the star will live and so on and on. In medicine we create a drug and do tests and experiments to determine the probability of success of that drug, how big the side effects are, the possible maximum reactions. In biology we do the same when we make models of population growth, how the interaction between predator and prey works and so on. We do science because we want to predict the world. Prediction is at the core of science.
