I’m so thrilled! My second PhD paper with @brouwer_susanne & @ozyurek_a @GestureSignLab has been published online in Psychological Science doi.org/10.1177/095679…. We show that iconic signs and speech can influence each other in bimodal bilinguals.

In this open access article we show that knowledge of sign language can influence speech in hearing bimodal bilinguals by enhancing semantic specificity in speech. This was found in domain of spatial language where sign languages prefer iconic expressions.(1/2)
