This newly released footage from Artemis I provides a multi-angle view of the Solar Array Wings (SAWs) deploying approximately 20 minutes into flight. Gopros on the tips of each SAW provided this incredible perspective.

@Velocity_Photos @go4gordon Takes a forever-long 6.5 seconds to see the altitude click up to 625’ when the booster nozzles are clear of the top of structure. You can see the guidance needles trying to roll us far earlier but the rocket is appropriately patient.

Everyone knows that the Space Launch System uses reflown Space Shuttle parts. But I feel people arent able to grasp just how much history goes into the rocket set to send humans around the Moon for the first time in 53 years. So heres a thread on the reused parts of Artemis II:

Here's what the visibility conditions look like at liftoff for every available Artemis II launch opportunity provided by NASA. Only 2/16 of the Artemis II launch windows open during the day, with all the others opening past 8 PM.

Elon: “The goals for Artemis are so small. Artemis needs bolder ambitions. We should adapt Artemis to say let’s have a base on the moon, not just go and do a remake of this great movie from 1969.” Call me crazy, but I thought a lunar base WAS the goal.

Elon, I have long admired you and what you have accomplished, especially at SpaceX and Tesla. You know as well as I do, that Butch and Suni are returning with Crew-9, as has been the plan since last September. Even now, you are not sending up a rescue ship to bring them home. They are returning on the Dragon capsule that has been on ISS since last September.
