Flick will never bench Pedri without a proper #6 because our midfield gets heavily exposed and chaotic during Pedri’s absence. Every double pivot Flick tried with Pedri worked even with Casado against Bayern. Flip this and it fails with de Jong due to lack of control or physical dominance.
