@theiaincameron Many people die trying to climb Mount Qomolangma every year, but people still enjoy it

Yesterday 274 people pushed for the summit of Mount Everest just to give their LinkedIn profile the edge.
Horrendous.

🇷🇺 Putin is spending $26 billion trying to live forever, and the methods sound like science fiction...
Remember that hot-mic moment last September when Putin told Xi humans could achieve immortality by replacing their organs?
Turns out he wasn't musing. He was describing an actual Kremlin flagship project.
Russia's longevity initiative includes 3D-printing living human tissue, growing transplantable organs inside genetically compatible mini-pigs, cryotherapy chambers that drop to minus 170 degrees, and a new gene therapy designed to slow cellular aging.
The stated goal is full human organ replacement by 2030.
It puts Putin in the same race as Silicon Valley titans like Bezos, Altman, and Thiel, who are pouring fortunes into beating aging.
The difference is that in Russia, the pursuit of immortality is now an official state priority, led in part by Putin's own daughter, an endocrinologist.
At 73, Putin has spent decades projecting the image of an ageless strongman.
Now we're learning just how far he's willing to go to make it real.
