Today I learned that when a baby is born via C-section, they miss out on that initial dose of Lactobacillus from the birth canal, which is basically like a starter kit for their immune system. Typically, babies born through C-section have a slightly higher correlation with asthma, allergies, and Type 1 diabetes. Apparently, some practitioners have begun to explore "swabbing" C-section newborns with the mother’s vaginal fluids, a process called "vaginal seeding." Has anyone heard of this?

@idyllicmusing Yes. It's a growing area of study, and it's something I inform my section clients about.

@winniemli Sorry to be that gal, but it’s still not entirely “safe” to walk/hike alone.

18 yrs ago, I was violently assaulted & raped while walking alone. Every year on the anniversary of that day, I go on a solo hike to remind myself that there is still beauty in this world & I can enjoy it. This yr, I pushed myself & did a few days of the Southwest Coast Path…

It’s uncanny how people post photos of their homes that look totally uninhabited. Where are the signs of life, the kids' toys or the crumbs from a snack? I’m not saying it should be dirty, just that it should look like someone actually exists there.

I’m still thinking about how the stone was rolled away, I walked in, and an angel was in there but Jesus was no longer in the tomb. This set up is everything.

@Cultination1 What if this life is just a long, vivid dream God uses to prepare us for the real thing? It’s easier to believe that we’re currently in a state of sleep, and death is actually the moment we finally open our eyes for the first time.

(Daily Mail)
