I put all my VR development on pause to go back to normal flat-screen games, because it's just that more aproachable.

Sadly it seems interest in VR is still low, it's an awesome magical industry but I guess still quite niche. I will still do a Getting Started tutorial though

@OhNoItsAlexx Yep, this is the biggest issue.
They will for sure sponsor some games to force it on, there's no doubt about it.
Maybe they re-brand, and keep DLSS its own thing, with this being something else, but still, we'll see games forcing it on, alienating part of the playerbase.

@DANNYonPC @Brammflakes Could have easily been called Nvidia Reimagined and not a part of DLSS, but a part of the "Freestyle".
But they want to train it and make us pay for it.
First it's going to be optional, then a sponsored default, like raytracing forced on in some titles...

NVIDIA just announced DLSS 5, which seems to generate AI images on top of upscaling, rather than just upscale what is already there as per all previous DLSS versions and this looks... not good. It is heavily leaning into AI slop, Grace looks like a completely different person.

Awful actually😑 The more you look at it the worse it gets.
This is basically Nvidia DLSS 5 applying it's AI photorealism into existing games.
This is taking the artistry out of the game.
For eg: Resident Evil Requeim from Digital Foundry

DLSS5 makes this look like an AI generated dating profile picture used to scam an old person in another country. Just looks like every other AI generated image of a "person." No character or soul to it. Art loses what makes it impressive when it all looks like generated slop.
