@Jleerockwell @warpentity @Aella_Girl Uh...what? Atheism is literally not believing in a god. It's most certainly not making science, or politics, or materialism, or hedonism a god. There are people who might do that, but that's not what an atheist is. "For women it's themselves lol" Cringe.

When I was a devout Christian, we viewed atheists as sort of vaguely bad in an undefined way. Sure - 'some atheists can be very nice people', we'd say, but we believed there was some undercurrent of wrongness. They were unsanctified, they could not really be trusted to have a meaningful moral code. Any good they did didn't really count, as it came from a corrupted source, while any bad things Christians did were simply understandable failings of those striving to do good. Our framework for corruption was not concrete. It couldn't be! We just had a fantasy world where there were souls that had some mystical property of 'goodness' and 'badness', and if you didn't believe the right things that made you Our Tribe, that meant you had the badness property. We interpreted the outside world to fit our framework and ignored the evidence that didn't fit. I don't really feel compelled by people saying that a sexually promiscuous lifestyle is corrupting or damaging to the soul. That's a pretty Christian-style argument that wasn't good at getting at truth then, and it's no better at getting at truth now.

Hit Crime Simulator Schedule I Under Investigation For IP Infringement It's been merely two weeks since indie hit Schedule I was released in Early Access and achieved one and another milestone, like being the runner-up on the top seller chart, seeing over 459k concurrent players, with 98% out of nearly 70k reviewers liking it. However, following the sunshine and rainbow comes a dark cloud. According to a public document in Polish titled "MOVIE GAMES SA (17/2025)," Movie Games S.A., a Warsaw-based publisher of 2020 crime simulator Drug Dealer Simulator, has decided to start an investigation into the creator of Schedule 1 for potential IP infringement and unfair competition. The announcement, published on April 3, reads that the company "received a legal analysis performed by a legal consultant, an expert in intellectual property and acts of unfair competition, which indicates that premises have been identified indicating a potential infringement of the Issuer's intellectual property rights and actions that may bear the characteristics of unfair competition." It continues to detail the aspects that are believed to constitute infringement. After analyzing their IP using internal resources since Schedule 1 debuted on March 24, it concluded that "the use of many elements covered by copyright was immediately identified, including elements of the game's plot, mechanics, as well as UI - User Interface." As of now, neither Schedule I's Twitter account nor the developer's has responded to this. However, supportive fans have taken action against Drug Dealer Simulator on Steam, with many players downvoting the game because of the publisher "bullying" an independent developer who managed to achieve more stunning results than them. Solo developer Tyler, i.e., TVGS, has been busy updating the game by releasing post-launch patches, with version 0.3.4 arriving today and bringing additions, improvements, and bug fixes.

IMO this is one of the many bad ideas in Christianity (though not all Christians believe this, so good on them I guess). This line of thinking potentially reduces agency, downplays suffering, judges people who aren't coping etc. Not everyone has to be a willing martyr.

This second attempt to re-charge them often fails, and I end up asking them to cancel and resubscribe which has resolved the issue in 100% of cases, but feels shit to ask.

I have to either ask those clients to cancel and resubscribe, or email a list of those clients to support to reactivate. If I take option B, they IMMEDIATELY re-charge my clients. This then looks like a "double charge" to the client and I have to deal with the fall-out.

My biggest frustration right now is our payment processor @Payfast. Every month, several recurring payments fail. No reason given. They attempt to charge my clients 3 times, once every 24 hours. Once all 3 attempts have failed, that's that. I can't reactivate them.

I'm completely disillusioned with discussing religion with religious friends and family. Until now I've assumed a measure of good faith and honest inquiry. I've now realized that most of their minds are welded shut. There is no search for truth, only adherence to dogma.
