Serious question: When did @opensea start hiding replies from creators asking valid questions? 🧵 Truth is, it's getting increasingly more difficult to get any visibility with OpenSea when you're a smaller creator. Earlier this year, OpenSea invited PixelSaurus™ to join their Drops program to mint our latest collection (PixelSaurus™ Claw). Having seen other projects who have used Drops and benefited from the visibility of hosted spaces, homepage features and listings on their Drops Calendar, we joined! Creators who use Drops have to pay a 10% fee (of EACH mint), but when you consider the clean mint process, put together by their fantastic in-house team, and the exposure you get too, 10% seems pretty fair, right? Well... not quite. It wasn't until after we set up our Drop (and paid the contract deployment fee) that OpenSea informed us that there were, in fact, two different types of Drops: Featured Partner Drops & Self-Service Drops; none of which are detailed on the website. As such, anyone using Drops is under the impression they will also get exposure. Obviously this isn't the case. Having emailed OpenSea on several occasions to get some answers on this, and to request our addition to the Calendar, after 1 month we still haven't received any reply... It is incredibly sad to feel so bullish for the OpenSea platform, but to feel so let down by their shockingly bad customer service - not to mention, the misleading nature of Drops. I rather expect this will be ignored, too, but hope there can be a little more fairness from the company. You only have to look at the Twitter replies to see that the majority of people they GM are influencers or creators with large accounts. Just hope they remember that large creators once started off small. All it takes is to shine the light on the smaller ones from time to time. * * * * * Sorry for the long post, but wanted to share my experience and get this off my chest. 💚🦕🦖🌋
