@sebify We constantly make updates. Is there a large change you noticed? What do you see as slower? Managed linker? Conversion? Or the C++ compiler itself? What platform?

My local volunteer fire department now uses AI images in their fundraising emails. I consider rural VFDs the furthest point from the AI epicenter, so this feels like a new milestone.

one interesting side effect of canadians buying up to 50,000 chinese EVs a year is that we'll start seeing them on the road in buffalo, maine, vermont, and....detroit

@sebify That was my next question. Is this a development player, and what value do you have for that setting (file/line numbers)?

@jon_cham although some magic must be in place already, since development builds do have the option to show line and file now with IL2CPP players.

strange I thought Unity fixed the messed up il2cpp stack, but on the GC allocation detail is still broken (stack points to a different file, MobileHUDPlayers is not in minimap)

@lucasmeijer I was thinking similarly recently that we don’t, and that it’s likely to stop being an “entry point” for devs. Language bindings were a path to learn the language or the system, or get started in open source.

@eigenrobot You needed to start “cheating” the rows 8-10 rows ago, making up 1/4” per row such that last row would get proper coverage from cap. At this point you just get extra overlap and fraction of shingle visible below cap. And yes cut any excess top of shingle at ridge-line.

Interesting alt data on the health of the US consumer economy. Closing pulp / board mills means their multi-year projections are for consumer contraction. This surely based on the sum of what their customers are telling them about their own projections. Article link below

Or is it just that anything that is popular will be disliked by more and more people? Or the people who love these tools are the minority (eg managers) and those who dislike them have no say in what tool to use (e.g. devs?)

How is it that Atlassian builds tools that: - SO MANY people use - SO MANY people dislike (JIRA, Confluence. Previously also HipChat) They are defying the conventional wisdom for business success that starts with "build something people will love"

@ShaunPeoples Agree, but we are in the midst of a bad system. Last flight I and 70% of the flight were in group 2. The one you pay for to have early boarding and room for carry ons. They started gate checking carry ons mid group 2 boarding. What a scam.

Stop standing around the boarding line if your group isn’t it. People don’t understand how to queue so, inevitably, people just wait behind groups that aren’t actively boarding. Sit down. Wait.
