The most effective way to save Sakura would be to tell Tokiomi about her situation, or to ally with another Servant to save Sakura in exchange for withdrawing from the war (Rider would work). Instead he clings to his delusional hero fantasy.

@turnami_ The manga is a fairly standard slice of life series with occasional horny bits and some standard genderbend genre stuff. It’s fine. The anime is a weird beast, it’s much hornier but also more heartwarming and leans hard into the transgender wish fulfillment in a really good way.

the one mistake in fate zero that i dont see people talking about much is how urobuchi cant resist making kiritsugu a misunderstood heroic figure even in the end when hes mentally shooting his wife and kids in the head
