Smothers is currently in Austin for his visit to Texas. Sources anticipate Alabama will not go far north of their current offer. I would expect him to flip to the Longhorns at this point. Good news for Alabama is that the freshman Crowell is on campus and has some of the best high school tape I have seen. Saw him in person at the state championship and his combination of speed + strength are unmatched coming out of high school since Saquon Barkley. Expect Crowell, Hill, and Dear to be the primary options for the Tide moving forward.
