I remember the hope I felt when Obama became our president. Now Chicago is under curfew because of riots instigated by racial injustice. We have taken too many steps back. We need this country to have leaders who denounce racism and move us to a more hopeful future

The thing that the ppl who are critiquing the #Minneapolisprotests don’t get is that the protests are the result of a lifetime of black ppl being systemically murdered by the state, & then being denied justice, repeatedly & intentionally by the same state.
