Everyone is focusing on the journey. My first thought is how are they going to build a 36 mile long spaceship? Given how long it took to build the tiny ISS, it'll take 400 years to build something 10,000 times larger. That's not to mention the unforeseen technical issues, redesigns, cost overruns, geopolitical recalibrations, etc. All that time you're also having to defend the partially constructed spaceship from impacts. It would be way smarter to build 100 small ships and then those than put all your eggs in one basket on a single gigantic unbuildable project.

At this point in time @perplexity_ai is a TOTAL DISGRACE!!! I can't even get an answer out of it for problematic topics. It tries to argue around topics, even where factual objective statistics exist. It's a absurd level of woke Ai - and I'm not even remotely politically right leaning. Wtf is going on? I'm asking problematic questions both to test AI and because we deserve clear, neutral, unbiased answers from an AI. I don't need hand-holding or guard rails and it is highly problematic and counter productive for fact checking. @perplexity_ai don't suger coat the world for me. Give me the answers I ask for.

Generously, Zelensky is trying to say, I need the guarantees (you don’t want to give) because Putin negotiates in bad faith. Trump and US media is going to hear this as “You don’t know what you’re doing and are no different from Obama and Biden” If the context was that WH expected Z to sign mineral deal and bless negotiations today, you can see why it blew up.

I was made fun of last night for saying the event suggested the shooter was highly trained. Maybe he wasn't. But he was 150 yards away and he knew how to get into sniper-firing position. I suppose you could learn that from watching DAY OF THE JACKAL. Maybe.

@jpodhoretz Nope, it was less than 150 yards away. Prone from a stable/elevated position doesn't even take much practice nevermind training to make shots from that distance. Plus, he missed with 7 or 8 shots so not very skilled at all.
