Congrats to former Bucs DL Pat O’Connor, who announced his retirement today. 75 of his 95 career NFL games came with the Bucs, including their Super Bowl team in 2020. A great run for a former seventh-rounder.

@jdevans141 @JFowlerESPN I don't think of the Bucs as having many players at the top 10 at their position for these kinds of lists. Wirfs absolutely, Winfield likely, but you have lots of key guys coming off injury or just outside that range. Tampa's strength isn't a few elite stars as much as overall.

@JFowlerESPN @gregauman As a Bucs fan I’ve found these lists from Jeremy quite depressing. With just safeties still to be announced tomorrow, only Wirfs has so far made a top ten list with Mayfield and Vea receiving an honorable mention. Fair to say many of us overrate the Bucs roster?

You have to consider Bert Jones' 1976 season in the context of the time, where passing was much harder than it was for Brees or Big Ben. Jones had 9.0 Yd/At (vs. NFL avg of 6.6) and added 38 carries for 214 yards and 2 TDs back when QBs didn't run.
